The Florida Suncoast Boston Terrier Club, Inc. was originally accredited in October 1989 as the Boston Terrier Club of Greater Fort Myers in Conformation and Obedience. In October 1993, the club requested permission to be reorganized as the Florida Suncoast Boston Terrier Club, serving the greater Sarasota area, and was granted, then subsequently licensed, in February 1994 serving the greater Tampa area. Since that time, the FSBTC has been holding Specialty shows in January and July of each year. In 1998, the FSBTC hosted the Boston Terrier Club of America's National Specialty.
FSBTC has received numerous compliments on its hospitality by breeder exhibitors and professional handlers. This small group has dedicated members who believe in a total positive experience for their Specialty Exhibitors with emphasis on hospitality, sportsmanship and fun!
Our club members are active participants in the Conformation Ring. Members are credited with numerous Championships, BTCA Awards of Merit, numerous gold certificates, participation in DNA and juvenile cataract programs and even a Boston honored as Best in Show in 1996.
FSBTC is an affiliate member of The Boston Terrier Club of America and participates with the Florida Combined Specialties, Florida Association of Kennel Clubs and the American Kennel Club.

Club Members welcomed many visitors to their booth. Copies of our AKC Breed Standard as well as Doggie Goody Bags were distributed to the public. Victoria Lee of Clearwater, FL, was the lucky winner of a Boston Terrier Cookie Jar, and Linda Alexander of Waynesboro, GA, won the Boston Salt & Pepper Shakers.
Also volunteering their time at this event were Helen Connolly, Linda Hartshorn and Larry Hansen. The Bostons were represented in several RDO Day activities including the Parade of Breeds, and Obedience Demos.
